Cooroy straddles the Brisbane-Cairns rail line, the Railway station is in the heart of the town which exudes an air of solidity and strength.
A stroll down the main street provides the visitor with many visual treats. Chief amongst these must be the seating - Cooroy has some of the loveliest public seating we have seen.
Even the footpaths are dotted with hand-made paving tiles expressing a range of the local's philosophies and designs.
Wide avenues and abundant greenery create a welcoming feeling - a genuine country welcome seems to echo through the thoroughfares - encouraging visitors to stop and bide-a-while.
