Everyone who enjoys beautiful views, colourful gardens, special tearooms, talented woodworkers and historical buildings will have it all laid on.
The idea is to drive to the Maleny Showgrounds and park there. The showgrounds will be a hive of activity including business and nursery displays, market stalls, entertainment and food venues, with buses leaving the showgrounds every twenty minutes to ferry visitors on a wide-ranging scenic tour to the participating gardens. The bus tours of the gardens cost only $12 for a three-day ticket giving entry to all gardens and venues.
The shuttle buses will take visitors along panoramic roads stopping at the spectacular open gardens. These gardens show off the full range of horticultural delights possible in the area from tropical rainforest to cottage gardens. Owners are already busy weeding, pruning, planting and generally tidying their gardens. In the gardens visitors will be entertained by musicians and see local artists at work.
To continue the festival mode, and while Maleny Showgrounds jumps with market stalls, fun and entertainment, there will also be a Croquet tournament in the showgrounds and a two day Bowls Carnival at the Maleny Bowling Club. Colin Campbell will be on hand at noon on Friday to answer your gardening questions. Entry to the showgrounds is FREE.
